Clock tower – Botevgrad

The clock tower in Botevgrad is built under the management of Vuno Markov in 1866. With its baroque character and elements, the tower is quite discernable than other clock towers, located in Bulgaria. On every knelling of the bell a small human figure used to appear out of the window on the upper part of the tower. This was considered to be one really big attraction for its time. The original clock mechanism is still being kept in the museum. The clock tower still counts out the time.
