Dobrich Region

Dobrich Region is located in the eastern part of the Danube Plain and Dobrudzha as it borders the Black Sea, the Danube River and Romania. Despite its dry climate, it is very fertile and is called “the granary of Bulgaria”. Agriculture is exceptionally strong and wheat, fodder and technical crops are grown.
Dobrich region has a rich cultural and historical heritage – from Roman times to the 20th century the area offers attractions from different ages. Cultural tourism is highly developed, as is the maritime one. The resorts Albena and Rusalka along with Balchik, Kranevo and Shabla attract many tourists every summer.
