Kyustendil Region
The Kyustendil region is located in Southwest Bulgaria and borders with Macedonia and Serbia. Traditionally, the area is known for its fruit-growing and viticulture. Nature in the region is unique and most of all the mountainous part attracts many visitors. The Skakavitsa waterfall (70 meters), the Rila National Park and the Rila Monastery are destinations that are highly preferred by tourists and Bulgarians. The mineral springs in the region also create prerequisites for the development of balneological tourism.
