Razgrad Region
The Razgrad region is located in the northeastern part of the Danube Plain, where almost the entire area occupies the Ludogorsko Plateau. Lacking sufficient water resources, the area is divided in two by the only relatively big river – Beli Lom.
There are over 1000 cultural monuments in the region that show the rich spiritual history of the tribes that lived in the Ludogorie for millennia. Thracian, antique and medieval settlements, tombs and fortresses are scattered throughout the region and attract interest from Bulgarians and foreign visitors.
