Vidin Region
Vidin region is located in the northwestern part of the Danube plain, bordering the Danube River to the north, and Serbia to the west. The geographic location of the area determines its development as a transport and trade center. The town of Vidin functions as the transport artery of Bulgaria for Europe.
The natural sights, the ecologically clean regions and the conditions for fishing in the dams and along the Danube are prerequisites for the development of ecotourism, cultural tourism, fishing and balneological tourism.
