Gabrovo Region
Gabrovo Region is located in Central Northern Bulgaria and covers the middle parts of Stara Planina and Fore Balkan, the valleys of the Yantra, Rositsa, Vidima and Dryanovska rivers.
The area has evidence in the Bacho Kiro cave that it was inhabited in the Paleolithic age. Furthermore around 650 cultural monuments, mostly from the Bulgarian Revival, show how craftsmanship thrives there.
